Sound Construction has been a recognized leader in Central Oregon custom home building since 1978. Principal Steve Berg brings over 40 years of hands-on experience, expertise and solid reputation to the Central Oregon custom home building industry. Homes built by Sound Construction are the result of careful planning from design through completion, ensuring the highest standards in workmanship, methods of construction and products used. This commitment to quality is backed by one of the strongest guarantees in the home building industry.

Jenny Berg, Office Manager
Steve Berg, Owner/Builder
Steve Berg founded Sound Construction, Inc. in 1978. The company has built hundreds of high-end award-winning custom homes in Central Oregon for over four decades. During that time, Steve served as President of the Sunriver Builders Association and the Central Oregon Builders Association and was one of the original featured builders in the prestigious Broken Top golf course community. A number of his homes were also featured over the years in the former Sunriver Showcase of Homes.
Steve brings 40 years of hands-on building experience, an unmatched reputation, and trusted relationships with long-time employees, designers, subcontractors and suppliers. Steve is a skilled builder, master planner and problem-solver and believes strongly in the team concept.
After the passing of Sound Construction's long-time office manager, Denise Siegel, in early 2022, Jenny Berg stepped in and now handles the behind-the-scenes administrative work. She brings a wealth of skills and knowledge as both a former legal assistant and an executive support specialist for a prominent business in Bend, plus a solid working knowledge of the industry and business by simple virtue of her 20+ marriage to Steve.

Steve brings decades of experience, expertise and reputation to the table in consulting with homeonwers and all team members from start through completion. His guidance, relationship building, trustworthiness, and knowledge are the building blocks of a solid home building experience where all moving parts are in perfect synchronization.
